Summer Schools & Weekend Workshops
I run many workshops throughout the year working with individuals, community and textile groups and get huge satisfaction from sharing ideas and introducing new methods of work.
I’m also happy to visit groups to give an illustrated talk on my career as a mixed media and textile artist.
This year I was all booked up to teach in New Zealand and Australia in March and April. However due to unforeseen circumstances out with my control we’ve had to reschedule for next year. So this year I’ll be focusing on my summer schools and weekend workshops in Scotland. My Textile courses are rooted in print and stitch. They’re a place to experiment and explore different methods of printing and an opportunity to create your own beautiful fabrics which are then collaged together using machine and hand embroidery, bringing these skills together to create your own finished textile artwork.
My workshops also offer a wonderful opportunity to come together with other creatives and share experiences and knowledge while making new friends and connections. Whether you are established or a beginner the workshop will offer you a way into creating your own visual language while experimenting and learning new techniques.
